[Beck looks him up and down, leans forward for a kiss. He's wearing the fuzzy slippers and he grins, stepping back to let Chris in.]

[He kisses back happily.]

Hey, I never denied being cute. I've been cute since I was born, with a few awkward pauses in between.

I do have another gift for you but I didn't want to leave it lying around and it needs some explanation. Plus it... was something I was working on before the holiday anyway.

[He chuckles.]

So not sure if it even counts as a gift.

Damn, bro. Keep overloading me with gifts and it's gonna go to my head. I'm gonna start calling myself "Chris the Special".

[He grins.]

[He picks up the Peacemaker helmet from a nearby table.]

[He instructs and heads to his room. He'll just be gone for about a minute.]

Yeah. I liked it a lot, dude.

[He takes the helmet but doesn't put it on yet, waiting for Beck to return.]

[When he returns, he's carrying a helmet that on first glance looks much like the original Peacemaker helmet. But on a second glance it's not as polished or shiny and there appears to be some extra wiring around the edges.]

Oh, fuck. You finished it.

[He takes the helmet and starts to put it on.]

I didn't want to mess with your original so I created a replica and then put a bunch of features in it.

It's got night vision, heat vision and I attempted a kind of x-ray vision but it might not work perfectly...

There's also speakers built in so you can listen to music if you link it up with your devices.

It's fucking amazing.

[Chris is still grinning with disbelief that Quentin has managed it in such a short time. Talk about genius.

He looks at Beck.]

The readings are in. They say that you are... hot as hell.

[He chuckles, shaking his head.]

I seriously don't think anything can be that hot... But thanks for the compliment.

I can add things to it in the future, if we think of anything else that is useful.

[He removes the helmet, grinning.]

It's pretty epic already, but I'll let you know. You're the smartest boyfriend ever, you know that, right? And just kind of the best in general.

[He comes in for another kiss.]

[He smiles into the kiss. It felt good to be appreciated. He never got much of that back home. Usually the opposite.]

[He laughs good-naturedly.]

[He settles in on the couch, waiting for Beck to come cuddle up.]

[He does take a seat, lifting up a foot to show off the new slippers.]

My plans are sneaky and multi-layered in their genius.

[He grabs the remote and turns on the TV. It's time to watch Dick Hard: Now Even Harder.]

[He says, not that he was before. He enjoyed uncovering those layers, whether they were play-acting or in reality. He curls up and comfortably leans against Chris.]

I don't think you ever did.

[Nobody has really estimated him the way Beck does. It's strange, being with someone like that. Makes him feel like he's capable of anything.

He puts his arm over Beck's shoulders, as the hero of the story, Brick Boner, is once again fired from his job as a police officer.]

They really do mess with every classic film, don't they?

[Beck remarks, watching the movie.]

Still a Christmas classic though.

[Even if some would disagree.]

Classics stay classics no matter how much you mess with them.

[A school for young hookers is under bomb attack, in the movie. It's all very tense and dramatic.]

Maybe the Creeping Bomber is gonna be like that. Echoed across the multiverse in all sorts of weird and amazing forms.

That would be amazing.

I'm not sure if this place has much resonance or effect outside of this realm though. From what I hear from people who have come and gone and come back again, everything outside of this place just ... freezes. Like time stands still out there until we're back in our own timelines again.
